Complementary Teaching Activities CTA

The project objective is to analyse those activities that teachers of educational institution develop together or parallel with the normal classroom activity, such as celebrations or commemorations and festivals of local or national traditions (for example a cultural week, special days, etc.) with the purpose that those CTA (complementary teaching activities) get the original sense for which they are celebrated and this way reach an improvement of their quality. For this reason, during the last phase of the project, the partner schools will try to organize their own CTA according to the criteria elaborated during the project development (the previous last two phases). Besides our proposal is to design and apply a common activity to all the partner schools.

The quality improvement of these activities will be based on the integration of the social and cultural environment in the school context through the implication of other institutions like cultural associations, town halls, enterprises, companies, etc. In this sense we are willing to open the school centre to the environment in which the school is located.

We are specially interested in seeing other organisation patterns of the above named CTA to be able to share models of other schools, compare them and with the intention, if possible, to improve them.

The project will be based in the experience exchange and in the participation of all the school members. It will be substantial to involve in the project the environment in which the school is located.
